Auto Low Medium High

High adds a glow around lamps at night and full shadows. Auto starts high (medium on phones) and steps down if frames get slow.

Sound and speed

Bell, horn, wheels on rail joints, rain, birds by day, frogs and crickets at night. Louder when the camera is close.

Speed 1×

Timing follows the Japanese standard: the bell starts about 35 seconds before the train, the arms are fully down within 15 seconds, about 20 seconds before it arrives. Drivers and cyclists stop at the line before every crossing, even with the barriers up, as Japanese traffic law requires. Each barrier blocks only the incoming lane, so anyone caught inside can still get out.
